"TA3LIM LIL JAMI3" – Greater opportunities for children of the Palestine refugee Camps of Ein El Hilweh and Rashidieh

The project aims to offer more opportunities of inclusive, formal and informal education to children of the Palestine refugee camps of Ain el Helwe and Rashidieh, as well as providing schooling to children refugees from Syria. The project is a second phase of the initiative AID 9520, concluded on 17.09.2014 and implemented by the Italian NGO TDH in collaboration with Naba’a. This initiative will intervene in 4 UNRWA schools and in 2 centers of the counterpart located in the Palestine refugee camps of Ain el Helwe and Rashidieh.

Specifically, 3 teachers from the 3 schools will receive support and will assist the persons in charge of the implementation of the school curriculum. In Naba’a centers, support lessons for children with learning difficulties and for those who have never been to school and those how drop out, will take place. Through the involvement of the NGO EducAid, a training on inclusive education methodologies will be ensured, addressed to 16 teachers. It is foreseen the realization of a map concerning the education , health and social services that are available in each camp which will be updated every semester and distributed to the local community in anad hocawareness campaign. At last, three annual events will be organized in each camp open to all the community and focusing on specific topics (education, hygiene, health, and environment).
